Up For Discussion: Interactive Podcast Ep. 1
by Drew Perkins, Director of TeachThought PD
One of my favorite aspects about my work as the Director of TeachThought PD is that I get to talk with interesting people as part of The TeachThought Podcast. I’m also a big fan of listening to podcasts that deeply discuss difficult, and sometimes even dangerous, topics. I fear for the future of our country if we can’t engage in civil debate and discussion on important issues, education related or not.
With all of this in mind I’m excited to experiment with a new tool called Synth to engage our audience in a new kind of “interactive podcast”. My hope is that we can engage in thoughtful dialogue (albeit asynchronously) on important topics using this threaded podcast tool in a way that helps all of us advance the conversation in meaningful ways.
The signup is quick and easy at gosynth.com.
I invite you to listen to my introduction and then click the red + button in the lower right corner to record your response. Don’t worry, you’ll be able to listen and re-record before publishing to the thread.
So let’s see if this experiment gains traction…let’s hear your voice on this prompt:
“Assessment Should Drive Teaching Far Less Than It Should Refine Reteaching.”
