As an online PDU, this course is one of the more effective courses! I have learned more from this PDU than I have from other topics during quarantine.

Molly Hinsvark

teacher

Gives you the necessary information without wasting a lot of time, and you get time to actually work on creating a project and ask specific questions. One of the best trainings I’ve been to.

Natalie Stager

teacher

The best thing about this (and I don’t know if this would have been the same or different if it wasn’t ‘virtual’) is the one-on-one session. The one-on-one setting was super helpful.

FOUNDATIONS OF PBL

Individual coaching conversations available on-demand through August 7th.

Engaging through the PBL process, teachers will design a Project-Based Learning experience for use with their students. Using this approach teachers will work to answer these questions as well as your own Need to Knows:

  1. How do we design quality PBL?
  2. How do we effectively scaffold and assess learning?
  3. How do we effectively manage and implement PBL?

This workshop is designed for classroom teachers and includes specific and helpful facilitator feedback and the opportunity for one-on-one coaching conversations.

This workshop will be a blend of synchronous and asynchronous work. Certificates of completion (PDF files) to be provided via email upon request.

CREATING A CULTURE OF INQUIRY

How can we create a culture of inquiry?

This workshop gives teachers tools they can use to grow a culture of inquiry in their classrooms. Participants will experience multiple questioning and inquiry strategies that they can use with their students immediately.

Engaging in scenarios on sometimes contentious topics but with clear expectations, participants will:  Learn how to pull profound thinking and problem solving from learners using questions to contextualize content and knowledge.

  1. Develop and practice their own inquiry skills.
  2. Learn how to pull profound thinking and problem solving from learners using questions to contextualize content and knowledge.

This workshop will be a blend of synchronous and asynchronous work. Four synchronous meetings, July 13, 15, 16, and 17 will begin at 11am EDT via Google Meet and end no later than 1pm EDT. Certificates of completion (PDF files) to be provided via email upon request.

$415 per person, group discount $375 for 5 or more.
