3D Printing in the Classroom

One Day Workshop

Develop the capability to grow learning at your school with 3D printing across the curriculum. The ability to bring an idea or concept to life in the physical form with such ease and geometric complexity is a new one for schools. This workshop will guide you through the process of choosing the right design software, how to operate the software properly, manage student’s projects, how to use the 3D printer and corresponding software and all intricacies of preparing your 3D printer for use on a long term basis. We provide a step by step guide on 3D printing combined with a set of ideas to incorporate the technology into your classroom. Teaching a history course and want your students to learn about the pyramids of Egypt? How about giving them the tools to design their own pyramids and then bring them to life via your 3D printer? Running an engineering workshop which involves product design and prototyping? How about allowing your students to bring multiple iterations to the table by speeding up the production process of parts for your robot or model automobile? Our 3D printing workshop is designed to deliver on two fronts: developing the skills to operate all of the software and hardware to get 3D printing right away, and to provide specific examples of how the technology can be incorporated to supplement (not replace) existing coursework.

Once the workshop is done, you have a dedicated 3D printing expert on call to help with challenges that come up in the future. As the technology evolves, it’s important to have a trusted partner. Additionally, a 5% discount on all purchases of our wide range of 3D printers and materials is included.
